Pilates

Pilates is a holistic exercise system designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance; so much more than just building a strong core or perfect posture. It is a low-impact exercise method that coordinates movement and breath to focus on strengthening the core, improving flexibility, balance, coordination and posture. The mindful movements and intentional breathing techniques promote relaxation, reduce cortisol levels, and enhance overall mental wellbeing and body awareness.

Exercises involve the whole body and are performed on the mat, often utilising small equipment such as pilates rings, weighted toning balls, straps and yoga blocks. It is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Core Stability

Mobility

Mobility exercise provide an intricate balance of gentle strengthening through greater ranges of motion. They relieve joint stiffness, keep muscles long and have a naturally calming effect on the body and mind. It is a great form of exercise for people of all ages.
