Pilates

Pilates is a unique form of exercises that uses controlled movements designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and posture. At first glance it may seem similar to yoga or stretching, but is really quite different. Pilates focuses on strengthening the muscles in your core, which is the area between the bottom of your ribs and the tops of your legs. This is the Pilates “Powerhouse,” the area from which all movements begin.

Core Stability

Stability exercises are the foundation of your Pilates practice. They provide connection to your inner core, working the localised musculature and teaching the alignment and movement patterns that allow you to move beyond your current level.

Strength

Pilates is considered a form of strength training, primarily focusing on building core strength and muscular endurance through controlled movements using bodyweight resistance, making it beneficial for improving overall stability and functional strength.

Mobility

Mobility exercise provide an intricate balance of gentle strengthening through greater ranges of motion. They relieve joint stiffness, keep muscles long and have a naturally calming effect on the body and mind. It is a great form of exercise for people of all ages.
